Work in progress...

Hi everyone! How have you all been? I've done a disappearing act this last week. I have been itching to post something onto my blog but have just been flat out. I seem to be spending all my spare time working on the group exhibition which is only a couple of weeks away now - Arghhhhhhhh!
They are not quite finished (need to replace a couple of boats plus fix and add colours) but here's a preview of my two new illustrations!!

A few other scribbles...

Hmm there seems to be a theme in my work, can you guess? Girls... houses... girls... houses! Here are a few more girl illustrations from my Sketckbook. I did stitching on one and on another I stuck a bit of trim and a couple of cute heart buttons on... its nice to play around :D

Last Wednesday I worked in the Artwrap stand at the Life & Style Fair. It was a great day with plenty to look at and there were some fabulous people there too.
Here's the display at the fair of the Bonnie Bunny and Brambles Bear Baby range I did for Pepperpot YAY!
Products for both the boys and girls ranges include: Photo Albums, Deluxe Brag Books, Brag Books, Record Books, Growth Charts, Tin Notecards, Trinket Boxes, Photo Frames, Baby's First Print Kit, Wall Stickers, Photo Cards, Gift Bags & Wrapping Paper.

From my Sketchbook

Here are a few scribbles from my Sketchbook.  I have just unpacked most all of my sketchbooks - I can't believe how many I have! I find it impossible to finish one though, so there are usually a few empty pages at the back. In this years sketchbook, I have done a number of girl scribbles. These ones are a combination of pen, fluro paint and ink pencils. Unfortunately the colours haven't appeared as vibrant as in my sketchbook (even with a little sneaky help from photoshop).

Mod Kitchen

Today I'm posting something I did at work. I designed the pattern on this Pepperpot recipe box, recipe cards & shopping list pad. I couldn't help but throw in my beloved M-cups and kitchen scales too :D

Melbourne Art Fair 2010

On Thursday, a group of us from work went to the Melbourne Contemporary Art Fair 2010. I probably have more of an interest for illustration than the fine arts but there was some amazing work there. One Australian artist that really stood out for my work mates and myself was that of Del Kathryn Barton - she is amazing!!! The photo doesn't do this extraordinary painting the justice it deserves, as you can't really see the detail in which this artist has gone to. If only I had a few (tens of thousand) dollars to spare - I would have loved to have this picture hanging in my house :) The one below was sold but I still can't stop thinking about it! She had other work there that I unfortunately cannot find a picture of. I would recommend if you are in Melbourne, pop down to Melbourne Contemporary Art Fair but hurry as tomorrow is the last day.
