Up, Up and Away...
- Up, Up and Away... -
Happy Weekend Everyone :D It couldn't come round quick enough for me, I need the break! I have been busy working and looking after a baby who is getting top teeth and just started crawling - it's been HECTIC! To top it off I have a cold - damn you sickness!I'm trying to finish off Skyla's Nursery. She is 6 months now so I really need to get a move on before she becomes a teenager! The only thing left to do is the artwork and hang the other bits'n'bobs around her room. I have collected frames in different styles and sizes which I have sprayed white, so it is just a matter of filling them. Easier said than done and I am so indecisive.
I have made another version of 'Up, up and Away...' so it ties in with her quilt and cushion in her nursery. I will be using these materials for a couple of other prints too. "Up, Up and Away..." is in my Etsy shop along with a few other prints which is rather EXCITING!!! YES my ETSY is open for business again - HOORAH! Over the next couple of weeks I will be continuing to add items for sale :D xox

New Illustration
I have started on a couple of illustrations for the baby's room. If I like them enough they may even go into my Etsy shop. Here is my Babushka Dolls illo - they are a trend that just doesn't seem to go away but I don't mind because I enjoy drawing them. I love not having to draw hands!

Animal Allsorts Card Range
I did this fun 'Animal Allsorts' card range at work. The 6 brightly coloured cards featuring tip-on faces, an overlay of clear holographic foil on the background and brightly coloured envelopes. These characters have also been extended into a wrapping paper, stickers, gift bag and a kids partyware range. Super FUN stuff!!!

Little Red Riding Hood
I just had to share this cute little find with everyone. Little Red Riding Hood is by Alimrose and you can purchase it here. I bought this doll recently for a friend of mine who had a baby girl. How cute - I had trouble giving it away! A lot of my friends are steering away from baby pinks for girls, so I thought this would be a lovely gift without being too pink. Alimrose do other gorgeous toys and gifts - perfect for a baby showers or birthdays - definitely worth checking out!

I had been itching to do an Alphabet Poster for ages but wanted to do something a little different. So I decided to do a fairytale and mythical creature alphabet to scare the pants off little kiddies :P

Enviro Kids
Today I am posting my Enviro Kids illustrations. I did them a while ago for no particular reason and have never actually done anything with them. I wanted to do more but just never got around to doing it. Maybe they could become a poster one day.

My Neglected Etsy
The last 12 months have been pretty busy and my Etsy shop has been sadly neglected. I have been in "vacation mode" for the last year and unfortunately not due to some long, exotic holiday. I do hope to get right back into it and I have a few projects in the pipeline. But for now I will leave you with a few of the illustrations that were sold in my shop.

Mmmm....pie
Today is day one. Yes, I have decided to stick my finger in the global design pie. I have had so much joy and inspiration from the many blogs out there, why not join the fun and take you on a blogging journey of what creatively inspires me!
As there is so much to share, I might just start with a little purchase I made today. I have had my eye on this gorgeous Portabellopixie sewing pattern by Sandi Henderson for a while and now it's mine. You can visit her lovely website which also includes fabrics, free projects and a sewing school here.
